A good hotel when you are travelling through Aberdeen. A little difficult to find from the main road as you have to detour around backstreets, but the hotel was near the main road, clean, warm and a good breakfast. BUT - be aware that the car-park is monitored with a parking camera which snaps your vehicle registration as you arrive. I never knew this and the reception staff never said anything about it. A week later I got a £60 parking fee through the post. I called the Hotel reception and they said not to worry and that they would clear it. They never did, so I ended having to pay the £60 fee otherwise the fee would have gone up. I called the hotel again and they said they would reimburse me - but they never did. Personally, I cannot understand why they have have the parking cameras, as its not near any shops or anything that warrants a pay-car park. I think its just a money-making scam - as the reception doesn't tell you about it. Next time I'm in Aberdeen, I definitely wont be staying here.

Visited with Caledonion. Hotel better than we èxpected from some of revews. Room and public aress clean and warm. We visited during a very cold snap! Pleanty of tasty food. Staff friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the Christmas decorations. Would stay at this hotel again

Was doubtful from reviews but the hotel was great. Very cheery staff, the evening waiter works too hard! So friendly. Clean bed, large room, food sufficient and tasty choices. About half hour drive into town. Pleasant stay.

Stayed with a Caledonian tour, room was large, clean, well equipped with everything needed for a 4 night stay (loads of storage), a little dated and a little tired but to be expected at their price point. Both breakfasts and evening meal had small choice but food well cooked and tasty, didn't go hungry any day there. Bar prices reasonable and all the staff I interacted with very helpful and friendly. Only real let down is very far out of the city centre and not much in immediate area. Would definitely stay again if in the area

Suggestion to manageress older lady gmfair hair I would not in your position have rant at a loch lomond coach driver in front of 100 plus people very unprofessional!!!!!! Suggest attend public relations course on.how to deal with situations like this and not talk to somebody that help pay your wages!!! Was shocked to see this when I arrived

I came as a one night emergency stay for family visit. I bought my anxious dog with me and was on my own. The hotel staff could not have been any more attentive, they made me and my girl so welcomed and went over and above. The hotel has a large free carpark over the road, friendly clean reception with welcoming staff, quick check in and nice spacious rooms with a tv, hanging and drawer space and plenty of units. Would have been nice to extend the free wifi to the rooms, not just communal areas... but £7 for 24 hours isnt terrible. It's not 5*, hence the budget price. But it has everything you need for a comfortable stay... and the bar is definitely the highlight. The food is lovely and great prices! I would 100% stay again.

Sub standard hotel. I got put in a room that made army accommodation look 5 star, and the room was filthy. Stained carpet, mold on the curtains, dirt and mold on the windowsill. I complained to the guy on the desk, he said that the room I was originally allocated didn't have a window, so this was an upgrade. I said I was not staying in there. He said that I had the choice of the room with no windows or the dirty room. I asked if there were any other rooms that I could pay and upgrade to. He said no. I phoned my company and they tried to source an alternative hotel to no avail. They tried to phone reception to speak about alternatives, but he wouldn't answer the phone. My colleague tried to hand him his mobile with our logistics manager on the line, but he said he didn't have time to talk. 3 hours later he admitted to having a family room I could have. The room was better but not great. I could have been offered that option and saved 3 hours, but he had an awful attitude. The bar staff were kind and helpful, and cooked a great bacon cheeseburger with chips. Photos of original room, and replacement family room.

A bit wary of staying at this hotel, in view of some negative reviews. However, my experience, being part of a coach trip was positive. The room itself needed some TLC, but was comfortable, clean and had plenty of hot water. Food was varied, plentiful and tasty. Bar prices very reasonable and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. This is a budget hotel and overall taking everything into account would rate 5 out of 5 and is excellent value. I would not hesitate in staying here again and would recommend it to others.

OMG. I came here as part of a bus trip from England. I wasn’t expected what I got at all. The staff are so lovely especially the blonde lady at reception and the middle aged waiter who seemed to be there 24/7. The rooms were what ie expected for what was paid, spacious with comfy chairs and bed, bathroom was very modern with hot water and a powerful shower. The food! Well, I was not expecting what we had. Evening meal was a buffet of 3 main meals. Each meal on every night was amazing. The meat was cooked to perfection and not dry, the taste was superb. I would have paid top dollar for that food in a restaurant. Location was perfect, just a few miles away from Aberdeen city centre. The bus stop was at the top of the carpark and we paid £5 return. Can’t wait to go back there.

Came here with Loch Lomond Travel. Hotel was nice and clean at reception, the keys for the room were ready and waiting. The food was lovely, It was a buffet and there was plenty to go round. Room was clean and warm and beds were spotless. The service at the bar and in the restaurant was great as well. All in all a really decent hotel. I definitely would come back and stay here

Brill stay at this hotel..came with national holidays .. All staff friendly and helpful , nice clean room , breakfast and evening meal very good served hot and with a variety of meals to choose from...entertainment on Saturday and large TV in lounge area . I would highly recommend this hotel .

Absolutely amazing people are working here. Is not modern. But you come here to sleep . I came 3 hours before my check-in and they let me in . COFFEE IS FREE ALL PERSONAL IS AMAZING. I WILL STAY HERE AGAIN.

absolute dump of a place. I haven’t had the chance to review but now it’s been bugging me and I’ve had to leave one soon as I entered this place I already wanted to leave I went in with my partner who is in a wheelchair got given a room and noticed the room had stairs up to it the woman at the desk said it was absolutely fine but it wasn’t how do they expect him to get up the stairs? so we got given another room which was ground floor which was far better but soon as we entered the room what a mess the room felt like you where in a cell there is literally no windows felt like I was suffocating the bed wasn’t even made and had hairs and some kind of smell and the bathroom had a lot of rubbish still in the bin and hairs inside the bath. the place just absolutely stinks and is absolutely vile I would definitely not recommend even stepping inside this place worst hotel I’ve ever been in.

Arrived at the hotel a bit hesitant to start because it look a bit run down from the outside but walked in and was surprised. From the start the hotel stuff were extremely friendly and happy to help us. The food was not only great value but amazing too along with the bar prices that were cheap. The location is very good close to the airport, multiple shops and pubs and just a bus ride from the town centre. the only problem we had was with are key cards not working a couple of times so had to go down to get them sorted. In the end we all had a fantastic stay and would stay again if we was back in Aberdeen

Rooms here are basic (its a 3 star hotel), but they are good. The service is excellent. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely come again.

Chose this hotel because I was flying in for a hospital appointment. All the 1 star reviews are bogus. My room was clean. It was big for a budget hotel, and even had a sofa. Nice modern furniture. My only grip was that you have to pay for WiFi, and the TV was kinda small at 32". The staff were friendly, and even gave me a late checkout free of charge. Their restaurant offers eat in or room service. And I got a huge 2 course meal with drink (house wine) included for £14. I don't leave reviews very often. But all these 1 star reviews bugged me enough to give an actual real experience. Also good bus routes to the airport and hospital... Or only a 45 minute walk in both directions if you feel like it on a nice sunny day.

The Britannia Hotel has the potential to be up there with a five star hotel. It has a good sized car park!! and will without hesitation send you a car park bill for £100! It lacks staff that has the ability to prioritise there guests and there needs.

Nice big rooms that were kept warm. The bed was comfortable, and tea and coffee were available. A variety of food was offered, but if you wanted porridge, you had to ask for it. Staff are helpful. If you want wine, it's better to buy a bottle of house wine than a glass. Lovely stay here.
